Crabtree And Evelyn

I was just checking out their photos on Instagram and when I visited the Staff Shop, there they are!

These Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Creams are an absolute find!

Tell me about dry hands during the cold days. Huhu.

Stay moisturized!

Purplish And Blue!

These beauties are from City Lifestyle at Centerpoint.

I am loving the purple mascara - the color is also just right for day wear.

Nyx's Smokey Fume Palette is also a good find.

You can create fab day and night look with these.

I scored some Royal and Langnickel brushes too - will post a review after weeks of using them, but so far, am loving them too!

Have you visited them so far?

Maybe It's Maybelline...

I am a big fan of BB Creams. I've tried some brands - Garnier and Ponds - both of which I love and adore.

They give you that flawless finish without looking overly made up.

These Dream Fresh BB from Maybelline will also be a regular in my beauty kit.

It is not oily and surprisingly it stays up.

The liquid concealer I got from them is indeed great and am using it as a base for my eyeshadow.

Am hoping to try more products from Maybelline as it seems to be a match with my skin type.

Butter Fever

I dropped by The Body Shop in Royal Plaza and was so happy to found these on sale!

I am a big fan of Body Butter and since the temperature here in Doha is dropping, am saying hello to dry skin.

They ones in Body Shop smells divine too. These are the ones that I haven’t tried though (got some extra ones to give to my friends/cousins).

Loving L'occitane

And I am still on my winning streak!

I’ve won in a marvelous giveaway in Chiara’s blog/Facebook page!

To make things even better is that I am also a big fan of L’Occitane. I remembered when I first came here and got too much rashes because of the dust, it was their facial scrub that rescued me, same thing during my winter breakouts.

It smells divine when I am passing by their shop – and I don’t get out without a thing or too.

Thanks again Chiara! You can check out her cool blog here.

Diy Facial Scrub

Have you tried doing your own facial scrub?
My Hubby and I had been in search of Baking Soda only to find out that Bicarbonate of Soda will do the trick.
I’ve read in numerous articles on the web that it helps to get rid of stubborn blackheads and whiteheads so I’ve decided to give a shot.
And the result? Am loving it!
At first, I mixed up the Bicarbonate of Soda, some honey and olive oil.
I also made one using coffee, sugar and olive oil.
Good thing, I’ve kept my empty facial cream jars.
This time, I’ve replaced the olive oil with virgin coconut oil and the result is fabulous as well.
Any thoughts of doing one anytime soon?

Nyx Pore Minimizer

It was just last week when my two-week vacation in the Philippines ended.

I had gone off to SM Megamall for a quick lunch/catch up with my good old friends and off course, I did not pass the chance to drop by NYX’s boutique.

Then I was in makeup heaven!

Compared to the ones that we have here in Doha, the shops there are way jam-packed with stocks and I don’t know which one to try out first.

Since I was converting to Philippine Peso, I find them pricey (hehehe) so I just got what I really needed.

I was supposed to get the CC creams but the shades are way too light for me so I giddily went out of the shop with this Pore Refiner.

It says that it can be used as a base, on top of make up or on it's own.

It really does help. My pores are visible on the nose and some under the eyes and it appeared smoothen out.

Too bad this one’s always out of stock here so I have to use it wisely.

Have you tried any product as such?

Happy Skin: Shut Up And Kiss Me Scene Stealer

Before my vacation to the Philippines, I have listed down the items that I want to buy from there.

A lippie from Happy Skin is on top of my list.

I got it at around Php 600 and is worth it.

It says that “This lippie offers a three-fold “lip service”: a trendy matte texture, the pigment of a lipstick and the hydration of a balm” and so far it is living up to its promise.

I’ve tried a lot of matte lippies and most of them are so disappointing and I had ended up with very dry, chapped lips.

Being based in the Middle East, hydration is a must! Else, imagine cracked lips and wind burn all the time.

My verdict on this lippie: will be a mainstay in my makeup bag!

Hmmm, am already thinking of the next shade to buy.

One Of The Biggest Beauty Secret: H2o

Did you know that water is one of the best kept beauty secrets?

Drinking a good amount of water (at least 6 or 8 glasses per day) helps to keep the skin and hair nourished aside from the other health benefits.

Have you noticed your glow if you are hydrated?

I am not surprised when I had learned about Micellar Water.

It was from Instagram when I had first seen the one from Garnier.

I’ve been wanting to give it a try since I had finished off my makeup remover and my toner.

I got mine from Carrefour and I can say that it is nice though – without the strong scent and does the same task as that of a makeup remover.

A friend had also posted the mist from Evian. This one’s from Watsons in the Philippines and is very refreshing.

After cleansing my face, I just spray it on and let it air dry.

I’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks and my skin is supple and does not seem dry especially the area near my nose.

Surprisingly, the basic and most abundant element can also keep us pretty too.

Garnier Facial Wash

I've tried a lot of facial wash and this time around I am so thankful to finally find my match.

So far, I haven't gotten any breakouts and yay for that plus my wallet does not even have to suffer.

Thumbs up for this, Garnier!

Olay Moisturizers

This is the first ever moisturizer merk that I had used.

When I was working in the Philippines, I would normally but the small bottle of the beauty fluid which is around Php 95 if I remember correctly.

Up until now, I am still using the same brand.

Am just happy that they have a lot of varieties now depending on what your skin requires.

I used to have the beauty fluid but my face is getting oily.

Good thing they have this one for day use which can also serve as a primer.

It is a pinkish one and somewhat reminds me of the Johnsons Baby Lotion.

I am not into using whitening products but surprisingly this cream did not have that espasol or mumu effect (the one that makes your face + neck ultra white so fast) so I am using this one at night. Which reminds me this jar is almost empty!

What's your fave/go-to moisturizer?

Nyx Loot

I am one lucky and happy gal when I had finally managed to go to City Lifestyle (Yes, sorry for my kababawan, but that's what I am) - and to think that Centrepoint is just a stone's throw away from our place. Haha.

I've been looking for this soft matte lip creme in Transylvania for ages!

Actually, I found it in the Philippines when I had gone to SM Megamall last May but I found it too pricey in Php.

The shade in Copenhagen is also creating such a buzz but I don't want to buy both yet as I want to try it first - need to know if my lips won't be too dry.

I've tried LA Girl but then my lips were so chapped.

With NYX's, it was the opposite and therefore, definitely, I am coming back for more.

It put up with me through the day even after I had liquids like coffee and water.

It did bleed out during the latter part maybe because I did not use a lip liner - that I'll have to try later but overall, I love it!

Same goes for the Wonder Pencil that I am using as an eyeliner.

It gives an instant brightening effect on the eyes.

As for the eyebrow powder, I am quite satisfied too.

I do not have a great pair of brows - they are thick with some sparse area and are not alike so I've decided to let them grow and will have them professionally shaped and trimmed.

The liquid foundation though is a let down.

It became a bit sticky and I am shining everywhere - it does not match well with my skin type so I think I will have to go back to my True Match Foundation.

Well, it's still a great loot after all. I am such a big fan of the merk and am also looking forward on my next visit since they have most of the products now.

The Body Shop Beauty Loot

Hello there!

It's been awhile since I've done a product review.

I was quite a bit busy and was not able to catch up with the writing.

Anyhow, here's a quick recap of the products that I discovered recently from The Body Shop.

1) Seaweed Line

I heart Seaweed!
I loved this facial scrub.

Actually, I was about to buy the one from a bit pricey merk since I have a love of breakouts and blemishes lately but it so happened that they don't have a stall in the mall that I had recently gone to.

The best option that I have is The Body Shop.

After using this scrub, you will really feel that your face is squeaky clean.

As for the clay mask, I can only say the same thing.

I use it every week and it did help me manage my breakouts.

The price is at QAR 90 to 130 as far as I can remember for each so I can say that it is of midrange price but they also last.

I have these for almost 3 months now so they deserved two thumbs up.

2) Fresh Sorbet Blush

Blush. Blush. Blush.
I grabbed these when my friend and I had gone for coffee.

Priced at QAR 15, these are great finds.

They are super pigmented and I think it should be used on a freshly moisturized, bare face and not on top of the foundation.

3) Vitamin E Overnight Serum

Vitamin E Serum
This serum is actually a gift from a friend.

I've tried some oils and serums but so far this one is the best.

I normally put it before I go to bed and after the first use, I already observed that my skin is more supple and brightened a bit.

Also, a few drops goes a long way so thumbs up for this one too.

Do you have any recent beauty finds?

Beauty Product Review: Dear,Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

I was planning to order some products from Wishtrend, only to be disappointed when I had remembered that they won't be able to ship the products here in Qatar.

Good thing, I discovered this reseller on Instagram and she offers free delivery in my area.

I super adore how Korean actors and actresses skin looks always so flawless. Damn.

So, I ordered some products to try and check how my skin will react to them and so far, I could not say anything but good words, and there I was, placing my second order already.

I have discovered Klairs and immediately fell in love with it.

The company's philosophy: "Simple, but enough". Klairs believe in "simple skincare" using a minimal number of products catered to the exact skin type to produce the best results.

Here's my review of the product:

Product NameDear,Klairs Supple Preparation Toner

Product Description:

This toner is best known for use for sensitive skin because of its "deep moisturizing, cleansing and soothing effect; it balances pH level and also contains natural and botanical extracts".

Just like its name, "it helps to prepare the skin to absorb products well to follow and boosting their effectiveness".

Packaging:

It comes in a 180 ml bottle and a box.

Price:

As stated earlier, I ordered this from an online seller at QAR 130.

How to use:

Use a cotton ball or you can also use your palm, but I suggest using the cotton. :)

My Take:

Since the weather started changing, so does my skin!

I had a lot of breakouts and my skin got too dry - I have been coming to work bare-faced as I am only putting moisturizer for almost two weeks.

Dear,Klairs Toner helped a lot to reduce and minimize the itchiness of my blemishes.

It somehow reduced the redness too.

Definitely, I will restock more of this toner.

The scent is fresh too and it gives the skin that cooling effect.

I am using this in the morning (before my moisturizer) and evening (before my night serum) and it is working very well with them so far.

Rate: I am giving this product 4 out of 5.

Lippie Game

Hey!

I am ecstatic to share my recent lippie finds.

These are the ones that I am currently loving and using.

1) NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Transylvania

I adore this shade. It's a liquid lipstick and it is my first purchase of the liquid one.

Of course, at first, I did struggle but I think, I have mastered it anyhow.

The thing is, it stays put but try to avoid oil or liquids.

2) Tony Moly

This bright red and sweet-smelling liquid lippie is one of a kind as well.

It is not too pricey (I got it from an online seller for only QR 25) and the shade is also exactly what I expected: imagine the Korean Drama Stars with those cute red lips.

This has a glossy finish.

3) Happy Skin: Shut Up and Kiss Me

This is my go-to lipstick if I feel down.

The color is also buildable depending on your type.

I normally do 2 swipes. This lippie stays well and has a matte finish.

Am also proud to say that this is a Filipino product.

4) Clinique Chubby Stick in Grandest Grape

Talk about a lipstick with the most moisturizing effect plus great color and shine!

I headed down to the Clinique counter and was recommended this shade.

The Beauty Advisor said that this is one of their best sellers and now I know why.

Plus, it, being a stick, I find it easier to apply.

5) Maxfactor

A nude lipstick and a moisturing one, this is my fave nude shade so far.

Also, a first for me to try Maxfactor and I can say it's worth it.

Nyx Forever

Hiya!

It was eons since my last entry but am back.

Am trying to take photos using my iPhone only and edit via Snapseed.

These are my not-so-recent finds from NYX.

The #nofilter foundations are only at QR 25 each when I got them during the sale.

The concealer is also at the same price and these are absolutely great finds.

NYX is the first ever make up that I tried. I can still remember buying my first lipstick and blush from them.

That time, there are not much products, but nowadays, they have loads of them in here!

Was even thinking of ordering them online!

But, well, I think there is demand and a good market here.

'Til my next post!
